Managing Disks¶
Editing¶
If necessary, you can increase the size of the previously created disk. To do this, follow these steps:
- In the
Diskstab on theiSCSI Storagepage, click the action button next to the required disk and selectChange disk. - Make changes to
Storage sizeand clickSave.
Disk name
The disk name and storage type cannot be changed. To modify these parameters, you must delete the disk and create a new one. The disk size can be changed only by increasing it.
Deleting¶
You can delete created discs. To delete a disk, follow these steps:
- In the
Diskstab on theiSCSI Storagepage, click on the action button next to the required disk and selectDelete disk. - Enter a name for the disc and click
Delete Disc. This action is irreversible: the disk and all data stored on it will be permanently deleted without the possibility of recovery.
Disk with client
A disk cannot be deleted if a client is attached to it. In this case, you must first detach the disk from the client, and then delete it.
A disk also cannot be deleted if it has snapshots — delete all snapshots first, after which the disk can be removed.
Snapshots¶
Creating snapshots¶
- In the
Diskstab on theiSCSI Storagepage, click on the action button next to the required disk and selectCreate Snapshot. -
In the modal window that appears, fill in the fields:
Name- enter the snapshot name;
Description- optional field.Click
Save.
The created snapshot will be displayed on the Snapshots page. On this page, you can also create new snapshots and view previously created ones.
To open the Snapshots page, click the snapshot count for the selected disk, or open the action menu and select View snapshots.
Editing Snapshots¶
You can edit snapshots of your disks. To edit a snapshot, follow these steps:
- On the
Snapshotspage, click the action button next to the required snapshot and selectEdit Snapshot. - Change the
NameandDescriptionof the snapshot, and clickSave.
Creating a from snapshot¶
You can also create a new disk from the selected snapshot. To do this, follow these steps:
- On the
Snapshotspage, click the action button next to the required snapshot and selectCreate Disk from Snapshot. - In the modal window that appears, fill in the
Nameof the disk and the email of theOwner, and clickSave.
